Pisa and Florence

   Pisa

We went to Pisa for one thing, and one thing only. Yep, the Leaning Tower! We admired it's cool architecture and then took photos galore in order to fulfill the tourist requirement of getting pictures pushing it over and leaning up against it.

   Florence

Even the streets of Florence were pretty! They were cobblestone, lined with high-end shops and large flower pots filled with bright pink flowers, and horse carriages rode through them.

The Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral was my second favorite church in Italy (after Duomo). I loved the pink and green color on the exterior. The detail was also unbelievable...how did they build that in 1400's?!

After walking through the cathedral, Kirsten and I went purse shopping around the streets. We were on the hunt for some Italian leather! Rusty brought me back a leather purse from Italy when he went a few years ago, which I use all the time and the more worn it gets, the better it looks! So needless to say, I wanted another one! There were tons of street vendors selling purses and there was also a specific marketplace full of vendors selling leather items (purses, gloves, wallets, etc). After looking, debating, and bargaining, we finally purchased a few things we liked.

Maybe it's my immaturity or maybe it's my bashfulness, but I found taking pictures
in front of naked statues to be really funny and I never knew how to pose...
